It's some sort of remake, the PAS 4 was a sand preamp originally, and not worth even turning on, the only old tube PAS were the original, the II and the III.

Looks a lot 'busier' than the old models.

Yeah, that thing doesn't look like any vintage Dyna equipment I've seen (the Dynaco font is a giveaway) Maybe it's made by Panor? They're the ones that made the ST-70 series II. I'm sure it sounds good.

I'm wondering if any of y'all have actually read the add. The seller quotes a 'fellow ebay member' and what he had to say regarding this preamp.

The Dynaco PAS-4 was put out several years ago by the "new" Dynaco
(a division of Panor Corp.). The electrical design was by John Nunes and
the mechanical design was by Arn Roatcap. Both were involved with MFA
(Moore-Franklin Associates) and the PAS-4 is much more similar to a MFA
unit than the classic Dynaco preamps.
This preamp was not promoted very
much, I think because it was too "high-end" and expensive for the Dynaco
product line. It is a good-sounding preamp with good parts quality. I
believe it was built under contract in the United States, unlike a lot
of the other recent Dynaco products which were built in Taiwan or Japan.

Yeah audiobliss, i have already read it .these preamps seem to have come out in the late 90s and i looked them up @ audioreview and several of the owners had swapped out the 6922s for the Russian 61NP twin triodes. i know that this tube is compatable with some preamplifiers that use the 6922, but not many. thanks....WCW III
