That "Aristocrat" is a dead ringer for the pair of E-V "Marquis" I have been using in my garage rig for about the last ten years. About the same size and all. Mine don't play the Super Bowl though. My cabinets MIGHT even be a little nicer. "Aristocrat" have RCA input or regular speaker terms? Mine have RCA inputs.

I've never seen a Marquis corner horn, I had some (later I guess) Marquis cabs that were regular ported boxes - still nice though. The Aristocrat was the Paul Klipsch designed corner horn, I'm pretty sure anyway.

One brilliance control, and the standard 2-screw posts on the rear. Another pair I have are wired with 1/4inch inputs for the speaker terms.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Sad thing is, with the **** sound of the halftime show, stereo or surround would make absolutely no difference whatsoever... this is putrid.

Note to promoters: do not schedule AARP convention during halftime show.

I have loved The Rolling Stones since 1964, and disliked Mick Jagger for the same duration. How the f%ck do you get to be a rock/sex legend, when all you've ever done is prance around like a chick for 40 years? Brian Jones is spinnin' in his grave.

Sound sucked, and at this point, they are definitely in the running and maybe on top of the World's UGLIEST Rock & Roll Band category, but not the World's GREATEST Rock & Roll Band category. Hang it up girls, how much money is enough?

looks like you can pull on Mick Jagger's face skin like friggin taffy!

as many have said, after a nuclear halocaust, there will only be a few cocroaches, bacteria, and the rolling stones

I didn't see the corner horn part of your original post. Mine has some sort of co-axial driver inside also, but it's been a long time since I cracked them open. Like the day after I got them. Got a brilliance control on the **** end too.

I thought it was a few roaches, twinkies and cher's face? Guess we need to add Mick jaggers face to that list.

Nice rig russ. Is that speaker designed for mono? Or did you only find one?

I've got several, but yes, they were sold back in the 'mono' days as well.

If you have the control George, I bet they are the TRX12b's - which are one of, if not THE most desireable EV speaker. The call it a 3-way, to me it's a two way. 12" with a whizzer (thats 2 per EV), and a center mounted EV T-35 horn tweeter (the same that Klipsch used from the Heresy to the Klipschorn).

The drivers alone can bring near $400 a pair, depending on condition. If yours are like mine, they've probably never been out of the original cabs.

    Cheers,
    Russ

They haven't been out of these cabs since they've been HERE, that's for sure. I'm sure I advertised these damn speakers just about everywhere (here too) for $100/pair local pick-up, 5 YEARS AGO. Guess what ain't happening now?

I picked up a couple raw Magnavox horns not long ago. Should I get a boner or what?

I remember those threads, I do.

Email me a picture, or some ID numbers stamped on the mag or cone - Jensen / Magnavox drivers don't bring much, but some of the horns the Japanese go CRAZY for. Like 3 to 5 Franklins crazy.

You think they'll fly over and do a local p/u?

    Horn #1
    Mahaganovox
    580088-1
    70.43

    Horn #2
    Mahaganovox
    580088-1
    70.40

Each one one has "Japan" stamped into the narrow part of the outer throat. I'm hoping that part gives THEM a boner.

Anything on the Mag structure? Jensen Magnavox should start with a 220 or 232. I'll dig a little deeper tomorrow, my magic 8 ball (rum filled) came up with nothing.

No, but they will pay in spades for shipping.

Nothing on either magnet structure other than a disclaimer from The Mahaganovox Company about driver unit disassembly voiding the warranty.

Is Mahaganavox the low end Magnavox? Jesse, do you know about this shite?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

It figures one of the more astute among us finally gets it. I thought it would happen sooner. The same company that made his pipe.
