    If he gave them permission they can search. If a dog alerted , that is PC to search. Otherwise , they are only allowed to search within his 'span of control' for weapons for their safety.
    Did he tell them they could search the speakers? Also, police are only allowed to detain subjects for a 'reasonable' amount of time in order to conduct an investigation if there is no arrest or PC for arrest. It sounds to me like you have some legal recourse if the story went the way you are being told but it sounds like something is missing here.

    Remember cops protect their own so you will want to speak directly to someone in Internal Affairs - not 'the Head Police Guy'.

    LOL...Internal affairs....

    I dont think they have this department, very small police department.

    I took all of the pictures and estimated to repair them to my attorney last week so they should be recieving our letter soon.
