I am going to bid on every link in this thread.
I am driving up all the prices and I don't even need them.
Everything I win will be burned in a huge bonfire and I will not even invite any of you who bid against me.
I have tons of money in case I win but I am going to try to loose at the last minuite so be prepared to pay up the wazoo for whatever you are trying to get.
I caught the sopa slant cause I can't look at a thread without the urge to highlight anymore. It cracks me up whenever I catch one.
    OOOps wrong thread.

I know that if I want something on Ebay, I'm certainly going to bid on it. It's an auction, plain and simple.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Ebay is a public auction place; how/who would define the polkie that has the right to bid on an item? Just the first one that posts interest here? I don't think so...

Tough, but I don't think we can "rule" this; I've been wanting a pair of 7's for a while now, and I won't step aside just because other forum members also want it. I have my top amount in mind, and if anyone else - be it a forum member or not - bids more than I do, that person will take it. Simple.

There have been times when folks have backed off auctions rather than compete against others. Especially the case when what's listed is fairly common. It's happened before; it'll happen again.

Hell, we even pooled our money once to ensure that the Club won an item... (a banner, if memory serves... and what do you know? It did...) Anyway basically the same conversation, except a little more animated.

Now as to this item, duke it out boys. I'll get one of the next 20 that come along with reasonable shipping no less...
    More later,
    Tour...

wow $80 for shipping. but maybe the price will stay low enough to warrent that amount of shipping..

Did we in the Polk Audio forum drive up the desireability of Monitor 7's or what? Three years ago when i got mine off Ebay... no one bid against me... and I got them since I was the only bidder. :p

good luck to all who are bidding, hope you get your own pair of Monitor 7's... and you still remain friends. ;)
