Just got my new HK 635 hooked up and ready to go the damn OSD is all screwed up its nothing but mixed up numbers and letter and you can't really get in to the systems menu without the OSD anybody know whats wrong and I have tried the system reset.

    You may already know it, but generally the OSD can only be viewed via S-Video.

    yes thats the way I have it hooked up and i'am getting a picture but the words are all just random letters and numbers I down loaded the upgrades from HK.com before I hooked do you think that might have messed something up?

    I guess it's possible. Can you reset the receiver to the factory settings without having to go through the OSD?

    Do what Frank said. See if you can reset the receiver. Then try installing the updates again. If that fails, don't sweat it. I'm pretty sure Harman won't leave you hanging.

    do you have a video signal coming into your receiver or TV? sometimes on screen graphics need what's called a video sync signal to display properly.

    just a thought.

    :) reloaded the updates from hk.com and that seem to clear it up just got done with the EZ-EQ set up going to try it out in a little while
