I found a pair of SDA 2B's in near mint condition. From the pics they look to be in amazing condition. Any ideas what these would go for? I checked polksda.com and there are two completed ebay listings - one for $300 and one for $380. Would these fetch more since they're in such good condition?

fyi I'm just trying to help a friend set a price on the speakers he loves but his wife hates :(

Some pictures to drool over.

I would say $350-$450 since you just don't see the full cloth design in the SDA2 line that often. Very nice looking speaker, with no veneer to mess up.

The top and botom are veneer on MDF. I paid $225 for mine, but there were some minor dings and a water ring. After UPS touched 'em a few of the corners got crunched. Brown ****!

If I hadn't bought the 2A's on Audiogon, the ones in MW city would have been my next choice. I will be driving through there around Christmas, so I could do local pickup on them.

They are a lot prettier than the ones I bought.

I believe $380 is probably "top dollar" for a nice pair of 2Bs. When I was looking some SDAs I saw a lot of 2Bs selling in the high "twos" and low "threes". I would be very suprised if your friend could get $400 for them.

I'll email the seller after the auction to see if the Bartlett guy won them. If he did, I might be able to pick them up for him. I will be toting mine home as well, so it would be a tight squeeze. If it was someone on the forum, I'd be more than happy to help. the only reason I would help someone I didn't know would be to keep the Polk's in good shape. They are such pretty cabinets and I would hate to see them get messed up.

I emailed the seller this morning and offered my services, but I doubt anything will come of it. By the buyers other auctions, I couldn't tell where they were from.

Hope they went to a good home.

He emailed back and said the buyer had already asked to have them double boxed and shipped to him, so I'm guessing it was the guy from Bartlett.

Anyhoo, still hope they stay in good shape.
