I was looking around tonight and just wondering why there are so few Parasound HCA-2200 amps out there like mine? Are they that good or are they that rare and it doesn't matter how good? Or none of the above, just a brute plain & simple?
No, I'm not planning on moving mine anytime soon you ****' vultures!

The HCA line was directly affected by the 2200 MKII, which is a John Curl design, the rest is generic. They also transitioned into a new product line, ala John Curl and crew, and a better design theory. The changes in the marketplace, directly affect the consumer....products that are in transition are a hard sell.
It has nothing to do with performance, but everything to do with the market at that time. Flash forward to 2005....why don't we see them? It's because it was during a change and not many of them sold.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
