he doesn't speak for all cops. Most cops.

**** like that clown still can't change the fact that law enforcement officers are some of the most underpaid workers for what they do. Teachers too.

    were those officers wrong, yes

might want to put the shoe on the other foot and see what the officers are going through, what theyhave seen. looks like they snapped, plain and simple. the guy getting the beating probably did and said something stupid, but still didnt deserve what he got.

of course, logic dictates if you live somewhere where the cops are really on edge, you want to do whatever they tell you to do., its not the time for "F%$k you officer!", you know what i mean?

I heard that one, and for the life of me cant figure out way they would do that. did they think they were keeping the caddy's?!?

flip side is, in a catastrophic emergency, hey, any emergency professional is gonna grab what they need, I dont think they needed Caddy;s though. I go for the truck that can take abuse if I had to ride in it and patrol all day.

I watched the video. Where was the beating??? I never saw anybody punch anybody! Cops will punch people in the back usually to get them to comply which is perfectly fine but I didnt even see that.

And the cop backing that busy body reporter against the car I also saw nothing major. The story says "leaned him over a car and jabbed him in the stomach". I didnt see that either.

It looked to me like some dude was drunk and causing a problem and resisted when they tried to arrest him. When that happens cops pile on to the guy and drag him to the ground cause thats the best way to do it. If they tried it one on one there is a lot more chance somebody could get hurt more seriously.

Maybe there is more to this video but from the clip I saw, I saw nothing wrong.

Cops get a bum rap all the time anyway. Go out there and defend me against cut throat killers and rapists, but dont be rude.

I thought this was pretty interesting:

we'll see if that were the case. If you noticed that during the Katrina disaster- before and aft- there were many false reports of murders and rapes that the media simply framed as fact by taking merely 2nd hand heresay accounts from witness as automatic gospel- many times for 'the exclusive'. Almost all of the 'events' never took place.

Hopefully something like this turns out to be not true as well. It would leave a really bad mark on local law enforcement down there, and only take LONGER for the city to rebuild itself.

Yeah, there were reports of women and teenage girls getting raped and attacked while they were in the Superdome. A bunch of BS. Nobody has mentioned it since the first week.

Yup, good old media came thru again!

They were reporting anarchy, mass murders and rapes and just horrific things going on in the Superdome. FEMA workers were afraid to even go in there! Turns out there were 6 deaths in there. 4 were natural causes, 1 fell from upper level and 1 was a drug overdose. So much for the bodies piles up on each other.

They were also speculating tens of thousands dead. The highest prediciton I heard was 40,000! I dont think it even got over 1000 did it?

I don't believe they've got an accurate count as of yet. Hell, they haven't even got into all the houses and attacks that people were trapped in. I wouldn't doubt if it ends up in the thousands once it's all said and done.
