Would an MTX 6500d be strong enough for 3 mm100's?

do you think that it would be strong enough, or should I start looking for a bigger amp?

*waves at crowd*... "hello, i am the rsident mtx junkie."

the mtx 81000d is probably the amp for you... 1500 x 1 into 2 ohms at 14 volts ( 1200 x 1 -- disregard spec, none of them come out any lower than 1200 birthsheet -- at 12.5 volts).. that's a good 400 - 500 per sub at 2 ohms.. however u are running at 1.33333333 ohms.

I've talked to mtx a few times about this... you CAN run the 81000d at 1.33 ohms, but don't go running it at 1. they do not recommend it, nor do they think its a great idea, but the amp itself does do the job without getting hot or hurting itself or the speakers.

at 1 ohm, you start to break into thermal overload., but 1.3 is kosher.

    have fun :)
