Not too bad a deal. There are only 6 shows on the dvd, but they're all funny as hell. I'll soon add the next 2 seasons to my collection. It's sad that John Ritter died at such a young age. The man was a comic genius.

Don't get me wrong, I like John Ritter (he was great in his new show), but after a show or two, 3s company kind of got on my nerves. Every single episode is a misunderstanding (not much of a task for the writter).
But for 5 bucks, it may be worth for a little piece of tv history (even though it bit, it was a big hit with an edgy theme for the time).Denon AVR-3803

I got this one when it first came out. Originally, it was to have commentary by John Ritter, but he died 3 months before the scheduled release date. This DVD has "Roper's Niece" on it, easily one of the funniest episode in the whole series.

Not that I don't like the Ropers, just that the character of RF is better suited for the more over-the-top situations in "Three's Company".

I've never really watched Three's Company at all, much less know John Ritter starred in it. I always thought of him as the guy from Problem Child. When I met my wife, she was into the show, and I'd sit down and watch a couple of episodes with her. But, being a guy, and forced to watch something I didn't really want to watch, I never took much interest in it. The first time I've really watched the show was the other day after picking up the dvd for my wife. Not until then did I realize what I was missing. I was kind of shocked at how risque the show was, especially for its time. It was raunchy, but it was also hilarious, unlike most sitcoms these days that are just raunchy.
I was reading the trivia at IMDB, and I never knew Suzanne Somers was such a ****. I hate celebraties who demand more money, and she ever went as far as to demand part ownership of the show. Kudos to the producers for firing her. -
When I was a kid, I didn't understand the meaning behind the jokes on "Three's Company"; I tuned in to see John Ritter fall over things or trip over someone. Only when the show was on reruns many years later did I finally get the jokes Without a doubt, Ritter was THE star of the show and deservedly so.
BTW, Ritter is highly underrated as a dramatic actor as well. Perhaps the character of Jack Tripper overshadowed everything else he did after "Three's Company", but he was excellent in "Slingblade" and in an episode of "Law and Order SVU", in which NBC hyped his guest spot with...."See John Ritter as you've never seen him before!". His performance was quite chilling.
