Sometimes, the in store specials don't reflect on the webpage.

    Mike

I think that one is going to be hard to beat. I just looked at some old ads and it is actually $300 less than I've ever seen, not $200.

The specials are completly un related usually, Sometimes one will beat the other and sometimes they'll match due to shipping.

Usually for heavier items such as the R50's I bought shipping can cause it to go over, I paid 25 bucks more than I did at the store for my r50's...if I woulda just waited for a sale 2 weeks later....

    Oh well

I don't think you can match the in-store prices w/Outpost. ND13s IN stores have a slightly different offering than CA. Inventory levels fluctuate. That HK looks likes it's nationwide though.

WTF does that Yammie digital sound projector do? From the picture in the newspaper ad it looks as though it has a small speaker in the face and a shitload of buttons.

Actually, it is 40 small speakers, and 2 larger speakers. Apparently it will give you full surround sound from 1 speaker.

Well if it sounds anything like Yamaha's line of speakers that are in stores now, it will sound like crap.

I hear that setup properly that YHP-1 can sound very good. I heard it demoed, but wasn't listening critically. I don't think it would replace my rig.

I'm just getting sick of all the gimmickry. I guess it would be nice for someone who is not electronically inclined. For what that costs, one could put together a very decent HT, nothing spectacular or jaw-dropping, but very decent.

Are there links to the Fry's ads online? There's a few Fry's in the Dallas area and I'd like to this out if we're having the sale on the H/K's too.

    thanks

I haven't checked the Outpost site. Frys ads in San Jose are www.sjmercurynews.com, search Frys ads. They are probably in the Dallas paper as well or call.

    Russ,

I've seen that YHP-1 for $1100 w/o the sub, but it definitely needs one.
