Are they worth $100? I will be going through Wendell this weekend and could possibly get them if still available. I have never heard maggies before.

No, but you can get some 3M glue and fix the sucker for about $5 and a couple hours of effort. I wouldn't spend $100 on a pair of 20+ year old Magnepan, especially those in particular. Magnepans are a little trickier to buy/invest in than a conventional speaker.
There are some that are easily fixed and some that require shipment back to the factory to the tune of 300-900 for a rebuild, no thanks.
