I know most are looking for the SDA line. But here is a disclosed Brand New in Orig Box pair of S8's for anyone interested.
230.00 BIN
Reasonable? It would be apparent that they are over priced as there are no bids.....what years were these produced?

The seller has had those listed several times at the same BIN. I've never seen a bid on any of the listings, either. That leads me to believe, as you did, that the price is too high. I'd like to know, also, some info about the S series. Does anyone own any? What rank in the Polk lineup were they?
Are my eyes deceiving me or is the top woofer larger than the bottom? A 7" and a 6 1/2"? Or 6 1/2" and a 5 1/4"?"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
CAUSE I SPEAK OF THE POMPITIOUS OF LOVE" -
Woofer and passive radiator are the same size, 7.5". Circa 1993, $500/pair.
The S series had great drivers, in shotty cabs.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -

I was thinking the same thing, perhaps a radiator, or could be a photographic illusion. I don't think these were for sale for very long. Haven't been able to google up much info on the S line. Maybe they were a bust for polk, not sure though. They certainly aren't very large, only 25" tall, then again, I have heard some really nice speakers that are quite small in stature...such as the Sonus Concertino's....
Edit: Thanks Russ......looks like I was typing as you were posting... -
The S series were made the same time as the LS line. They were the lower end at the time.
