Well somehow I was out sniped in the auction! My sniper bid with four seconds left but I was out bid somehow!

Oh well it was really more than I wanted to go as I originally had a limit of $500.00 and had to raise it over that!

I'll have to settle for listening my 2a's until another pair come up.

    Bummer!!!!!!!!!! I wanted these.

    They sold for $570.99

Yeah, it is a bummer, not sure how I was out sniped. The times of the bids look strange. My bid was $560.99 and was recieved with four seconds to go. The winner appears to have bid prior to that? Must be something I don't know about. It could have been an automatic ebay bid that was made earlier.

The bidder [esavinon] that beat me out on the 1Cs was the same guy that bought the 1.2tl's that were rebuilt by Hambee and sold to someone in Shreveport, LA.

Interesting. I quess if he's going for a HT set up and swaps out the SL2000's for the new ones the timbre match won't be too bad.

    Roy,

That's cold. I was rooting for you and feel bad you were robbed.

I believe I have the answer of how the buyer pulled it off. When you enter a bid on the bay you have to confirm it. Keep the "confirm window" open while you watch the auction in another window (or tab). Just before the auction ends, click the button in your "confirm window" and your bid is entered as an earlier bid. I think the bid time is when you open the "confirm window".

In the past I have won a few auctions like this on non-Polk items. Perhaps some more aged epayer's can chime in.

Roy,, when I read that you wanted these, I dropped out very early on, in the beginning I also was prepared to pay up to 500.00,the same thing has also happened to me, I think that I am the high bidder with only seconds remaining, only to be outbid by someone else. Go figure? I believe that there is another pair listed, however the starting bid is 600.00, I e-mailed seller for additional pic's , however received none, only assured that they were in excellent shape, (interconnect included). Guess I'll go to more garage sales and flea's.Maybe I'll pick up a pair if rt-16's for 275.00 and keep them for awhile,,Hmmmm,, Good luck next time.

Guys, 1C's easily sell for $600.00. You're bidding too low.

Not sure what you want to know. As far as price the 1C's usually sell between $600.00 to $700.00.

Thanks,, When I saw that the final sale was over 550.00 ,thought I would have to reach for the xanax,, guess that I am a bit reactive,or perhaps overreactive, I appreciate your input/advice. I'm ready to go at it again!!

The last pair of 1C's that sold on ebay sold for $685.00..I think. Others have gone for less.

There will be others so it's only a small disappointment however I don't think I will find another pair that close to me as I am only 10 or 15 minutes from this pair. Oh well! The guy that won them must have really wanted them because I don't think he is local and will have to pay between $200.00 and $300.00 to have them shipped to him.

George , keep looking because SDAs pop up more often than you might think, it's just a matter of if they are the model you are looking for. For me as much as I would like to have some 1.2s or 2.3s they are just to big. A nice pair of 1Cs or SDA SRS 2s are a good fit for me! Oh,,and they sound so sweet!!!
