That Ashton Kutcher movie, My Boss's Daughter.

Probably the worst money I have ever spent on anything. Would've rather burned the $20, at least that would've saved me 90 minutes.

Also, it didn't help that the sound was muffled and picture had a yellow tint for the last 30 minutes. Terrible theater, worse movie!

    Ah! HEresy! That's a CLASSIC!

However, it was made before MTV invented ADD, so you may not be able to follow it. It doesn't have a camera cut every 3.2 seconds.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

There are two different categories the way I see it. Bad movies that were MEANT to be bad, and bad movies that a shitload of people think are real good (blockbusters if you will).

Meant to be bad? Hands down I'm with Frank and Roy. "Plan 9 From Outer Space" starring Bela Lugosi. That is, right up until he died in the middle of filming. Re-shoot with another actor? No way!! All the remaining scenes that he was slated to be in were shot with the new actors back to the camera!!! Beat THAT for cheap.

Garbage blockbuster? I actually sat through the entire "The Village". My wife, the former Theresa Talamonti, was oozing all over the damn couch over Mel Gibson, while I was groaning in the easy chair.

A couple of the JAWS sequels had redeeming social value because of the lips that Chief Brody's wife brought to the table. Love that girls lips.

Honorable mention to "Johnny Dangerously" and whatever that piece of garbage that Dan Akroyd and Chevy Chase starred in. Except for the costumes they wore at the end when they waltzed into the Russian mobile missile site, and their faces when they were in the G-machine.

Wow, some of the "worst" list are some of my favorites. Oh well.

The actual and truly documented worst movie made in the last 20 years is Troll 2. It is so bad that it wins every worst movie contest out there. I caught it once on cable and had to explore it more.

The producers of the movie were Italian and could not speak enough English to communicate with the actors.

It is so bad that there isn't even a Troll in the movie. It is about goblins. A truly must see.

Man, you guys are nuts!!! I just showed my wife the post about FARGO getting my vote for worst movie. We're still rolling on the floor laughing because we can't believe anybody liked that movie. Oh my God my side is still hurting!!!

Here's another stinker that's probably a tie with FARGO for the worst:

for the worst movies I have ever seen, damn theres is a lot, I'll just try to do recent ones:

    fun with dick and jane
That airplane movie with jodie foster
    windtalkers
    national treasure
and the one that takes the cake: CABIN FEVER, and I was laughing when this movie was rated 3/4, How?!?!

Titanic is up there also, its not an absolute terrible movie (only cause of the ending), but the first 2 1/2 hours, i fell asleep through when I was in the theater.

    more very overrated movies:

gladiator( ok movie just not great like everyone said it was going to be, I guess I had high expectations)
    apocolypse now (same as gladiator)
E.T. (i just don't know what the big deal was about this movie)
    spiderman 1&2

Just a quick question, why do some of you guys hate the thin red line so much, I can see how people think it could be a bit boring, but I thought it showed very well the horrors of war and how soldier feel in the middle of it.

Wow. This thread is making my tongue hurt from biting it so much. Tommyboy.... your tastes frighten me. I agree with the top half of your post, the sucky recent movies, but the rest... man alive. Gladiator's like one of my top 5... ET is a classic, as are the first two Supermans.... Titanic was good, certainly not SLEEP inducing, maybe a little cheesy... and Apocalypse Now? Might be a little trippy for you, but the thing's a masterpiece.

When the whole world thinks a movie is great, and you think it's overrated... well take a guess who's probably wrong ;)

don't get me wrong, I liked apoclypse now and gladiator, but everyone was telling me these are the greatest movies and when I watched I thought, this was it, these were one of the best movies ever? I just didn't see why(these are my most overrated, not the worst movies)...

Now when it comes to titanic, E.t. spiderman(not superman) 1&2, I really just didn't enjoy watching them at all, especially spiderman. I'm not into the superhero movies at all( while the original batman and batman returns were decent)
