R15's as surrounds

I was wondering how well the R15s would sound as surrounds. I currently have RT15's for the mains, center is 300 and psw 350 for the subwoofer. Are they pretty close in timbre, I listened to them and thought they sounded a little brighter the the RTs, but for only $50 at CC it seems like a deal. Any opinions would be gladly appreciated.

Thanks Jockos

We (read:my dad paid and its in the HT) have r15s for our rears with 1000ps and a Cs275 center running through a Yamaha rvx2200 they sound pretty good but the highs are not nearly as defined or clear as my RT5s (did a/b testing) a little *fuzz* or static all the time. But for rears-they do pretty good. Worth it for one bill

No Fry's prices its speakers individually.

Yes the 15's work great as surrounds. For what you get you really can't beat the price: clear sound and no brightness.

We've determined that the black R15's _have_ to be per pair... because that's all that Polk sells them in. Several people ordered the black ones, and they came as a pair. When I ordered my Cherry R15's, they were actually listed as a pair in the title (I also got mine at $50).

Now, my brother called about ordering a pair of the black ones, and the person he talked to said that they were priced each speaker... but then I came on here and heard otherwise from the other people who have purchased the black R15s :)
