LSi-7's on EBAY

How would you like to have friends like this guy:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=71572&item=5764885030&rd=1

His ad states that he is selling these because they are a gift from a friend and not needed. Based on his picture, it looks like that friend may have given him about 7 pair's of these...quite a friend.

I'm intereseted in downgrading my back soundstage to LSi-7's from LSi-9's (in an attempt to get rear surrounds off the ground). Does anybody have any experience with this seller? Does this ad look reasonable? I hate it when distributors and/or dealers deal on E-Bay and use this type of excuse for a sale when it's obviously not the case! Just looking for your thoughts.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
SACD / Theatre Setup:

Denon DVD-2900
Monster Power HTS-2600
Polk LSi-9 x 2 (Main)
Polk LSi-9 x 1 (Center)
Polk LSi-9 x 2 (Rear)

anyone charging $70 flat to ship LSi7 wouldn't make it to my good ebayer book.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

$70 is definitely too high. $50 is about the most I've ever added for shipping, but that was also a S&H type of thing.

If you look at his feedback you'll notice he has never sold before. All his feedback is from buying.
Also, as already pointed out, he states a friend gave them to him yet he shows a picture that resembles a stock room. Also, his return policy makes it sound like it's a business.
Before I bought I'd be tempted to know why he states they were a gift yet he shows a whole room full. Could be stolen I guess, but he's stupid for showing a room full.

I find it interesting that he doesn't allow local pickup...... That just seems strange to me.

If you had a house full of NIB speakers that were piled up to the ceiling, would you want complete strangers just 'stopping by'? I'll deliver things before I'll allow people to just come over.

if it`s a gift , and you don`t sell as a business (legaly), you don`t have to have a business liscense, pay taxes and claim income..

    Right..?

Really, who cares what his reason is for having that many? I bought all of mine and I wouldn't have a single person stop by and pick up. The pic that I put on all my auctions was of a single pair so I didn't let people think that I had a ton of. Sense of urgency is what it's all about when selling anything.
