AVR 3802 can't handle RTi6?

Before I got my RTi6 hooked up I hooked the CSi5 to the front channel just to get an idea of what the RTi6 would sound like and notice a very powerful mid bass that actually pounded me @ the chest. Now that I got the RTi6 and everything hooked up I feel that it's lacking this mid bass... Am I tripping or something?

csi5 has two midrange drivers in it, rti6 has one....

This is exactly the reason I wish Polk still made bookshelf speakers with two 6-1/2" drivers. I have the CSi40 center with the dual 6-1/2" and it will rock. I like the way it sounds a lot better than my RTi70's. I am looking now for a pair of the RT55i's that have the dual 6-1/2 drivers and will probably replace my 70's with them. The two drivers in the bookself cabinet is just awesome to me.Front: RTi70

I think one of the new monitors is a bookshelf with two mids...

It does, but I think they are 5-1/4". I everything else I have is in the RTi line and I don't think they would be voice matched. I have never heard them but I doubt they would sound as good since they are in Polks lower line of speakers. They look good though..I might consider if they were wood veneer instead of vinyl.Front: RTi70

everything he just said. lol
Man I have a buyer that's gonna (probably) pick up the RTi100 today and it's hurting real bad. I've never thought selling a set of speakers can hurt me this much. It was my first (home) polk component and it has a lot of sentimental valueplus I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing going from the Rti100 to the Rti6 but I gotta let it go and move on.

Those RTi6's should sound pretty good with a sub. I listened to my RTi 28's a couple of days ago as mains (they are my surrounds usually). I just wanted to hear them alone to see what they could do. They sounded good and had better imaging I think than my 70's do. The downside was that it didn't take much to make them hit their limit in mid bass. As long as the music was mellow they were really good. When I added the sub to them it sounded like they were really hitting. Anyway, you may think the sound is a little more spacious with the 6's.
But, what do I know.Front: RTi70

That's why I've never really been a fan of running the CSi5 with RTi6's. I feel the 6's just don't seem to match up in the lower end. I'd say you should move up to the RTi8's up front if you want more midbass.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

THe point of getting the Rti6 is for space limitation. Going with the RTi8 would just beats the purpose of getting bookshelfSammy UN55C6400

Than I'd say you need to add a seperate stereo amp and put some balls behind 'em.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

yah I'm thinking that too.. a friend of mine has a 100x2 carver amp that he was talking about getting rid of. I may do that. Aren't these puppies bi ampable? WOuldn't that mean that I can use power from my denon as well as the amp?Sammy UN55C6400

Could. I've been reading a lot about bi-wiring and bi-amping and I'm personally not going to deal with it. I am not sold on bi-wiring yet and from what I've read, I don't want to get into bi-amping. It seems the best way to bi-amp is to have an electronics x-over to seperate the signals prior to amplification. Unfortunately, no x-over like that is built into a reciever for that purpose. So basically all you're doing is feeding full range signal into both terminals and just giving the mids a lil extra power. I could be wrong about all this but I think I'll stick with the easy stuff and just let my amp drive the speakers alone.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
