Monitor 30's or R30's?

I recently upgraded my HT System with the Monitor 30's as surrounds and PSW10 as my LFE. My fronts are R30's. Since I have an extra pair of Monitor 30's, can I use those as fronts and sell the R30's?

Will this be a downgrade, parallel or upgrade move? Please help. Thanks.

IMO the Monitor line is superior to the R series...I'd kep whatever sounds best to you and sell the other...

    ccon2000,

Having an all Monitor lineup is very tempting but I would have to agree with Polkmaniac. See what sounds better before making the move. Sometimes replacing a floorstander with a bookshelf speaker may have you wondering where the bass went. You may want to save those extra Monitor 30's for a future 7.1 setup.

My opinion is that anything less than Monitor 40's up front right now would be a downgrade but your ears will be the best judge.
    Home System:

    Receiver - Onkyo TX-SR601
    Mains - Polk Audio R50
    Center - Polk Audio CS1
    Rears - Polk Audio R20
    Subwoofer - Aiwa TS-W60
    TV - 32" CRT Sony KV-32HS500
    DVD player - using HTPC
