Polk Audio - HQ Tour '05 - Information

I am starting this thread so there is a place for information to be posted that is relevant to this event.

The plans for this tour are in progress....who's motivated? I hear you people talk alot, but will you actually show up?

That last Polk HQ Tour was outstanding and should be a not missed. Here are some related threads from that trip.

Let me know your thoughts.

What month is best for you.....what days are best for you. I want to try and make this as accomodating as I can for the forum.....and Polk needs to have some lead time on their end.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I was thinking like April/May/June timeframe.

    What day of the week is better? Weekday or weekend? Either way, I'll be there! I gotta get my PR's signed by the man himself!

    Weekday.....no weekends. Friday would be a great choice as it allows easy travel the next couple days....or if you would like to hang out in the area with the Maryland crew.

    When it does get firmed up, I am 100% available for help in travel arrangements and accomodations....Blue(Mike) thanks man.

    I'm bringing a friend from work with me and Baltimore is a couple hours from my house so it'll be a day trip for me. The wife isn't too interested in it at all but another friend might be. Especially since he owns a pair of RTi70's, a PSW202 and a whole Polk Audio MOMO Carbon Series setup in his Jeep.

    John - Make sure the Car Audio guys know about this, as that section was extremely interesting, and filled with alot of bass :)

    Jeff - Yea, lets get some early information on accomodations, and perhaps pricing. Thanks for the help, that's fantastic.

    I could probably take a week off & visit my brother that week. I don't know if he would be able to get the time off to go with me, but if Doro wouldn't mind picking me up at my brothers house I could attend.

    I'm in! Let's ROCK!

    How about we try to do this either on a Monday (preferred) or Friday during early Summer. Those coming in from out of town can enjoy some time at the Inner Harbor as well. I can check on a group rate for the National Aquarium and/or Science Center. IMAX ROCKS!

    If we do a Monday at Polk, then those coming in from out of town for a few days can have Sunday as a play day.

    I have an SUV, so I can tow some people around with no problem.

    This was very fun and educational back in '03.

    I will have my truck to show off the "old skool" dB speakers...hopefully the CD changer won't act up on me. Also, I'm trying to get my friend with the Jeep that I just installed to come down with us and drive it down. Kim and Thom seemed interested in what we were doing with it so I thought it'd be cool to let you guys see it first hand. Besides, when was the last time you had a chance to get a gander at a Lightning loaded with Polk Audio goodies?

    Dude, April/May is better because summer in Maryland is brutal! If it's not the humidity, it's teh mosquitos carrying off small children and pets!

    I would love to come. It seems weekends are out but a weekend would be easier for me.

    Either way, just give plenty of notice and Ill make it work. I wouldnt miss a chance to tour the Polk HQ!!

    I am in, cant go last two weeks in August or first of September.

    I say April 29th. That way you guys can all celebrate my birthday(even though that would be a day late). I just ask that you ship presents to Phoenix so I don't have to ship them back from MD to AZ........
