I'm talking like Chinese, Thai, Italian, Cajun, TexMex....whatever!

Me, I'm on a seefood diet! I see food and I eat it!

One of my favorites though is Japanese food. I'm not talking Benihana steakhouse stuff either. I mean authetic Japanese cuisine. Not too many places around to find really good stuff but there is a place local to my place of business that is absolutly incredible!

Beyond that, I can usually be found in a bar stuffing my face with good beer and bar food. Or a fine Jersey diner!

I've got a couple little hole-in-the-wall Chinese and Thai places I frequent.

I could eat Chinese (GOOD Chinese) every day.

    Cheers,

A thick-**** meatloaf sandwich with potato soup.....Ahhhhhhhh. We have a place in Bisbee, AZ (about 20 mins from me) called the Cornacopia Cafe that makes these on home made seven grain bread...man, it's heaven on earth.

A large bowl of Spagetti O's, butter white bread & a glass of millk.

Since you asked for what type of food, not the meal, I'll call that,........ cheap food.

Anything that involes MEAT & POTATOES! A nice giant cheeseburger with bacon and mushrooms hits the spot too!
A large bowl of Spagetti O's, butter white bread & a glass of millk.
Love this meal too. The spaghetti O's have to have the meatballs though. I could eat a whole loaf of butter bread at a single sitting.

I know what you mean! A good deal of my family is from Polish decent and none of that stuff in the supermarkets even comes close to what my grandmother can make!

I've been trying to get her to write down her recipes for years now but she never takes the time!

Around here Chi-Chi's just went out of business....semi fast food mexican sit down resturant. Now the small mexican joint where I have been going for about 8 years, business should pick up. A lot of people go the ultra fast food route and don't realize what they are missing.

My absoloute favorite...must be a toss up between India or Mexican......the small places NOT the large chain resturants are where the best is . Yea, they are smaller and it is a little harder to find the better ones but they are well worth it.
    India............Lamb dishes w/ veggies & a Mango Milkshake.
Mexican........Fried chicken Burritos....beans & munch on chips and salsa.

Both places have very friendly people W/ excellent service.

I like all types of food equally.

my fave food though has to be sushi. I love sushi so much.. i could seriouly eat it every day for lunch. Good sushi.. not the stuff you buy at the store.

Also really like those already mentioned.. Thai, Viet, Mexican, Chinese and good old ribs, BBQ chicken, or a large plate of freshly made tortillas with beans and rice.. mmmm mmmmm good!

Just enjoyed a Steelhead Extra Stout, a meal in a bottle.
    What's wrong with sushi?
Nothing, infact it takes the #2 spot after microbrews. Love the stuff.

I like anything but Korean food. How on earth do people only eat rotting veggies? Nasty, nasty stuff.

oh yeah.. not all sushi is raw. some of it is cooked. some of it is deep fried. the seafood isn't the kind you'd fish out of your local lake/river.. it's much better than that. :D

What's wrong with Korean food? Go find yourself a good Korean BBQ place and you will find out that there is much more to Korean food than Kim-Chi (sp?)

My favorite sushi is sashimi, in season and right off the freakin boat fresh! Some wasabi and soy sauce and wash it down with a shot of saki! Now THAT is an appetizer! Cost you a pretty penny but if it's fresh, it's worth it!

I had one bad experience with Sushi......(why not share)

I was ok with everything, then we ran across these little mini octopus things. I thought, I've had calamari, so why not. My friend couldn't be convinced to try. I put the whole thing in my mouth and was chewing. I don't know if this is standard, but it felt as if I was biting on a rubber band. As much energy as I put into the bite, I got that much back.

Anyway, I'm chewing and then bite down one last time. I bit the head, which then exploded and shot the brain across my mouth and hit up against the inside of my other cheek. The best description that I can come up with is that it felt like I had just bit into a zit.......Nevertheless, no more octopi for me....

The good thing about that though is next time we went there, all those lil **** had been labotomized........maybe they just missed a batch.....

Sushi... Yup have a good local place. Great for the occassional low fat meal.

But #1 in my book is Italian.
Northern (wild game, pesto) or Capri (seafood to die for such as Lobster fridiavlo with mussels)... whatever, it's all great.

Outside of Italy, there are a couple of great places in H-town, but my all-time fav is in Willoughby, Ohio about 20 miles east of Cleveland. Little place named Gavi's in a rennovated Powerhouse... absolute Italiano heaven...
    More later,

SO much food, so little time...

A few dozen PEI oysters on the half shell and some cold beer to wash 'em down....now THAT is the ticket.

Love seafood, shrimp, lobster, clams...mmmmmmmm. Oh, and some cold beer to wash it all down.

I do love Korean. Bugolgi and cucumber kimchi.....and some cold beer to wash it down with.

The best Mexican food I ever had was a little place in Muscat, Oman. Good stuff there. Yes, and a few cold Tecates to wash it all down.

    And the list goes on......

Speaking of Italian....the best I've had was a little place in Bangor, Maine called Seguino's. The guy that owned it was a real nice guy, and, man, that dago could COOK.

Damn, I could go for some of his chicken caccitore....and a few cold beers to wash it down with.

I just have never seen or tasted it before.......I used to fish from my boat but never ever thought about eating it raw. Nothing wrong with it for some I guess....I just have never experienced it.
