Hi all. I've decided to sell the entire setup. With the new job, gym, and another kid on the way, I really don't have time to enjoy the system anymore. My interest in home theater just isn't what it used to be. Here's what I'm selling...

1 pair of LSi7's cherry..........$285/pair shipped
Carver AV-505 amp...............$285 shipped
Technics SH-A300 pro............$35 shipped

I've still got the original boxes for the LSi's and the Carver amp. I'll double box everything, and use a lot of bubble wrap. And I won't ship through UPS. Not after what they did with the sub I sold to jawhog.

If you're interested, just reply, or send me an email. Take care.

Dibs on the 7's for now. Sami and I might need to split a pair.

Don't suppose you'd cut a discount for someone who shipped out over 6 pairs at an average of $215/pair would ya?

Edit: This is pending interest from Sami as well, without him, I can't go $300 for a rear speaker...

I may well be interested in a pair of 7's.

Do you have any detailed pictures you can post or baring that give a rating on the condition of the cabinets? Also, do you have original box and docs?

    Thanks :)

I was thinking of going with 5.1 with dual centres but getting a single would free up one pair of 7's for 2 channel. Hmmm...OK.

I better not tell the GF as I could use the money on other "more important" things as well. I just bought a house so she propably is right.

Looks like the 7's are gonna get here before the new Parasound amp. Doubt I'll be able to resist hooking them up to the poor H/K 330 - just hope it doesn't explode, gets pretty hot just driving RTi6's ;)

Dr Spec indicated that he found testings that indicate that the LSi7 is 6 ohm. Unless you really crank it up, the HK330 should be ok. Congrats on a great purchase:)

Don't worry, it should drive them without problems. Just don't go overboard with the volume.

Price drop on the Carver...$300 shipped. This really is a nice amp. It drove the 7's with no problems. It comes with an extended warranty, which should be transferrable. I'll throw in a set of 5 analog audio cables.

The 7's have been sold. The Carver amp is still available, guys. $275 shipped. Here are the specs:

This new amplifier was specifically designed for Home Theater applications including it's use of innovative Power Steering technology, yet it draws from a rich Carver heritage ranging in experience from professional audio to Lightstar technology.

It uses an entirely new dual differential input circuit topology that operates in constant Class-A mode. In addition, the new amplifier features monoblock modular construction and improved thermal management design.

One compact amplifier provides all the power needed for a high performance home theatre system
Total Direct Coupling for high damping factor at all frequencies
Each channel protected by: individual fusing, excess temperature sense, DC fault sense, power-on delay, shorted load sense.
Minimal signal path design, with on card I/O connectors eliminating internal interconnect cables
    Gold Plated RCA Jack Connections
Individual calibrated level trim controls for each channel
Removable handles for 17" cabinet space (with trim caps)
Designed and built by Carver Corporation in Lynnwood, WA USA
    Frequency Repsonse: 20-20kHz +0,-0.2dB
    Power Output: FTC 20hz-20khz
8ohm 120 watts per channel two channels driven
8ohm 80 watts per channel all channels driven
    THD: less than 0.08%
Dynamic Headroom: >1.1dB @ 8ohms all channels driven
    Gain: 29.0 dB (+/- 0.5dB)
    Input Impedance 50 kohms
Damping Factor: >300 typical (20hz-20 khz)

I just received this amp and after hooking it up to my system, my initial impression is that speakers sound a little like a lid has been removed and the high end is coming out a lot more clearly. I'll let you know how my first movies sound after this weekend :D

So far I'm happy with the purchase, thanks alot MSkeezer!
