Just joined up today. I spent alot of my time over at AK so some of your names are familiar already. I don't seem to have enough time to keep up to date on AK, so another site is just what I need:rolleyes:

I'm into vintage audio in a pretty big way. House got full so I built a double garage, with only a single door. One side for the car and one side for me:)

I currently have 3 sets of Polk speakers, Monitor 10, monitor 11 and RTA 12. you might have seen the pics in a thread here called Monitor 11.

Some of my gear is for sale but I hate shipping stuff the size of speakers so it would have to be local or where you arrange pick-up or delivery.

I also have acumulated a few spare parts for various speakers, specifically for polk....I have a pair of PR for the monitor 10 and one spare SL-2000.

Feel free to drop me a line about any old speaker, I may have them in my collection. While I'm by no means an expert, I do have a big addiction to this stuff.

    Welcome Krimney,

I am new at AK but I have seen your polk speakers over there. Those RTAs and monitors look so cool. I am just starting to get into vintage gear myself.

    Welcome Ken

Glad to see you made it over and feel free to discuss any speakers or gear that you'd like to. We're about more than Polk products here.

Nice to see you Ken ;)

Hey you Canadians need to check out these Monitor's...three super fine models to choose from.

Ken would you be able to get together a list of the part numbers that you have for the replacement pieces?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Hello,

I'm not looking for anything specifically right now.....but. Where in Alberta do you live? If your reasonably close I might just want to consider adopting some new speakers. Or if your up for just showing them off that would be cool too.

    Hi Nathan

I'm actually in Calgary. If you ever want to listen to anything I've got, you are more than welcome to. I have a number of sources and power so have numerous combinations available. You can also compare the Polk to some other classics, such as Tannoy and QUAD.

If memory serves be ( and i hope it does as I am very unorganized otherwise) we had a transaction involving Mach 1 parts??

I've actually got a set hooked up now with a 200wpc Hitachi, I can get the volume well past half way and crank the bass control to max and those speakers rock!!! Maybe I shouldn't say it here but I unhooked the RTA12C and hooked up the Mach 1 and I prefer the Mach 1.:o

Here is a list of Polk parts I have, as requested earlier in the thread.

All parts came out of a set of Monitor 10, not sure what particular model 10.
2- passive radiators, rubber surround, SR229 stamped on the surround and 100DT on the back in chalk

    2- x-overs- can't find a number on them

1 SL2000 silver coil dome tweeter.
