Here's something odd.

So yesterday I was watching the car chase scene in the matrix reloaded on my pioneer 563a and I had a music cd in my toshiba 3960 going at the same time. Well obviously I had my receiver (denon avr 1804)set to dvd (the input my pioneer is on) then when i turned off the dvd player and got close to the front left speaker I could hear the music from cd on the toshiba playing. Clearly this isn't a huge issue, just need to not have multiple sources going at the same time, but I was wondering if anybody else has ever experienced something like this, and if so, is there anything i can do to correct it?

I've encountered it numerous times. Some rigs do it more than others. It's a combination of RCA plugs, preamp (or receiver) design inside, and the proximity of the jacks on the back.

It's normal. Don't sweat it. If it bothers you just make sure to turn off all other sources.

As stated, this is normal. My old Onkyo would feed FM radio to the speakers at very low levels even when in CD mode. I had to turn it up way louder than I ever would playing CD's, but without a signal coming in, you could hear the FM radio station very faintly.
