LSAF 2018

Apparently I haven't started a thread about this show yet! I'm not sure what I wasn't thinking, but I hate myself for it. Anyways, the thread is now here.

http://lonestaraudiofest.com/

This year's show is May 4-6 and there are some big things being planned. I'm not sure I want to disclose what the show coordinators are planning (not sure if its public info) but it should be interesting.

As far as AudioThesis goes, I'm booking three separate rooms after swearing to only have one room after the work two rooms created last year. I'm going to hate myself, but I have a lot of goodies I want to show off. The main focus will be on representing speakers as I'll have one room each dedicated to Rosso Fiorentino, Harbeth, and Sonner Audio. In addition, I've also received confirmations that the owner of Sonner Audio and Larry Smith from Wireworld will be coming in for the show.

There is also a possibility that some BIG products from my portfolio will be making an appearance at the show as well. We are still in works on that, but I'd say the chances of that happening are very favorable.

If you are on the fence, get off. This is not an audio show - its a vacation centered around audio. Lifelong friendships are made at this show and some guys even make this their one show each year to attend. If you can make it, reservation information is below:

http://lonestaraudiofest.com/reserve_your_room/

The more Polkies we have, the more fun it is. Come see how us Texas boys do it!

My initial plans were to arrive in DFW on Monday before LS and drive down to Austin to take a speaker to Josh and have the surround glue repaired. Now I'm thinking I'm going to eat the cost of building packaging and mail it down to give him more time to work on it before returning it to me at LS. There is a possibility I may still drive down to Austin to see Josh's studio.

Vermont. I have a brother who has lived in Amarillo since 1981 and I have never visited them. So we have plans to transport a vehicle up here and I hope to meet up with former co-workers from the Dallas shop (AVW/Telav). Russ invited me and I didn't think I could pull it off, but things have changed a lot. Plus, I was a Cowboys fan for 30 years. :p

Hey D, do you have a British background? I have noticed a number of things you have written that suggest that may be so. I've had a number of online friends from England and we would note differences between us. :)
