Hey Ron looks like he pic on your site! BTW in the new "Green Room" logo. The Os remind me of somethng but I can't quit put my finger on them.
What are we going to flame ya for?
Arrg matey!
-you trying to grow something there?? Did I not catch the pun at first??Chris -
nice set up ....
Very nice ...
I have a question or two ...
why the slate under the sub?? does being on a crawl space as opposed to a slab make a big difference in what sub you select? I am not a base freak, more interested 9in good sharp clean sound .. any reccomendations?
I am in the process of setting up my system .. 800i, 400i, and 35i as surrounds ... your speaker stands look nice and that's what I'm thinking of for my 35i surrounds as they look way too big hanging on the family room wall.
you have any thoughts to share with I? -
First chance I've had to check out your set up Ron. Sweet!!! I also am curious about the slate under the sub. Can you enlighten us novices???

Actually guys, I was just goof'n with my sig pic, but thanks for the great comments on The Green Room.
Thank Chris for the excellent slate idea. Basically, it stops reverberation and tightens up the bass very nicely. It gets rid of the boomy type bass. I'm also going to get a piece to set on top of the sub to see if that even improves things.
Peace Out~:DIf...

Ron-let me know how the slate works on the top of the sub, please. I was thinking of some how strapping mine down to stop cabinet vibrations.
Just messing with ya on the slate thing in the other post but thanks. Just in a good mood today and feel like fooling around, ya know. Feels good to be happy.:)Chris -
And those stands .... ?? if they hold the 55i they should do for the 35i ya think?? any pointers to stop a 85 lb lab and a three year old from teetering them ??

My RT55s are close to the walls as you can see, so I took some metal strapping (from Home Depot), screwed it to the stands then to the walls, solid as a rock. I also used earthquake putty to stick the 55's to the stands.
Peace out~:DIf...
