99* for a couple of days now. :s In the 90s for a week or more too. No rain expected for another week! :s

I've started to water the grass to keep it from dying anymore. I think I saved a lot of it but also lost a lot. The back yard is turning into a sand lot except where there is shade. :# Even some shady areas have had a hard time letting grass grow.

We're going to hate the next water bill!

A mole has taken up residence in the front yard last night. I set out traps tonight. I should go check on the 2 traps in a minute.

Nothing yet BUT it looks like the critter is making more tunnel raises. :s

As many as 8 tornados touched down in the Dayton metro area. Widespread damage and numerous injuries. No deaths reported as of yet, thankfully.

Tornado sirens were going off here last night. Had a few sightings close to me.

My brother, who has MS and is wheelchair bound, was on the phone with me as this storm passed. Tornado warnings everywhere. He lives in Lockport IL, just south of the purple image.

Thank goodness, it just passed north of him.

@erniejade You ok? I know you live in the area too.

I wonder what type of traps you're using? I never had luck with the spike traps but I have caught a fat one with the scissor type traps.

2 variations of these. I saw tunnels this morn. again and set out 3 traps over new tunnels. The darn thing tunneled around one of them today. :s Smart bugger!

Damn friggin rain once again here. I've been in the paving business since the early 80's and never once in all those years have I missed over a week of work because of the rain. We haven't worked since a week ago yesterday and who knows what tomorrow night will bring

It's been hot and humid here too with high dew points... A few thunderstorms with a little rain... but no tornadoes thank god we don't get very many.... For those who do stay safe!

Looks like more on it's way.

It's sunny and mid 70s now, but yesterday was a very different story in Dallas. I got lucky with only having part of the fence come down, but I'll probably have my roof inspected at some point. Several on my block had trees fall into houses and cars. Multiple power lines down too. These pictures are just my block, but the entire neighborhood looks about the same.

71mph straight line winds recorded at Dallas Love Field Airport.

Over 350,000 without power at one point. Not sure how many have had their power restored.

I'm in a 50+ area. This morning my estimate for when to get power back was 6:30pm. Now it says "Assessing Condition".
Fingers crossed it comes back on tonight.
