Ordered a complete surround system from Polk last week...
front: 2 LSi15's
center: LSiC
side: 2 LSiFx
rear: 2 LSi7

Got an email saying the center is backordered. I've read the posts about the LSi series getting a makeover. Does this apply to the whole LSi line, or just my center? Any clues?

Excellent choices. The LSi is a great speaker line. The RTi line is who received the complete makeover, not the LSi...unless you consider finishes a makeover. The look is the same in the LSi, aside from wood veneer options.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I have the exact same setup, except my rears are lsifx's. I was wondering why you chose not to get rear lsifx's, but decided to get the lsii7's. I also have two psw505's, they match real well with the 15's.

I went with the LSi7's because I may be pulling double duty with them, using them in a stereo setup for my bedroom...not sure yet. Plus, the Fx's were considerable more money. I loved the way the 7's sounded in the store, but haven't yet heard the Fx's.
    Your thoughts?

Question for you too. Why two PSW505's?? I've heard less than good things about Polk subs. The sales rep at Circuit City said they've had problems with them blowing... so I went with an Infinity 12" 300 Watt. Should I get the 505 to help match the timbre (or whatever) with the rest of the speakers?

    Thanks for everybody's help!

There's no timbre matching for the sub so don't worry about that. The 505 is probably Polks best sub effort to date. Another franklin or 2 will get you into SVS or Hsu territory though

I have two 505's stacked on top of each other, and it sounds great. All the reviews have been great also, the people here seem to like them also. There is a little frequency gap between the lsi15s and the 505, but it is not noticeable unless you do a Hz sweep. They sound great and are very responsive, as stated they are the best Polk to date, and they have a 36 month warranty, so if they do blow (not likely) they will give you a new sub. I wouldn't really worry about blowing them.

I would have a setup just like yours if I were listening to music also, that is a good choice, I just assumed you were primarily surround sound.
