Gezzzz now I am thinking Menuetto again. When will it stop, I just purchased the Parasound.
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

It is imperative that we recognize that an opinion is not a fact.

Like I said before, the Ampino is like the Poor Man's Parasound. It lacks the big power numbers, but the sonic signature is almost spot on to Parasound's. Throw in the fact that I could wear them as platform shoes and a price tag under $600, and its a freaking steal. The Ampino is also offered as a stereo power amp or monoblock amps as well. They produce great imaging, a black background, solid control of the bass, but are held back by their power. It's actually reminiscent of the tube sound, but much better control of the sound throughout the entire spectrum. This is all you'd ever need in a small room, but I'd never recommend it for a bigger room.

The Menuetto is going to sound good on any speaker and sound phenomenal on the right speaker (like the 703). It is very neutral without being clinical and has a decent amount of power under its belt. By the end of the year, I will likely own a pair of 703's because they are just that freaking good together. This amp will really shine on speakers that have a bit of thickness in the midbass/bass. This one has a soundstage I really like - it pulls the soundstage back to right between or slightly behind the speaker without making it sound like it was forced back there. Despite the recessed soundstage, it still does a pretty good job of keeping the depth of the stage intact as well.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to get an Ecstasy III integrated in by the end of year as well. Based off the other two, I don't see how that one won't be a damn good integrated either. I don't want to recommend it until I know for sure though.

I think the reason you haven't heard of Dayens before is similar to most brands out there - poor marketing. If this had a little better marketing, they might have a much bigger share of the market than they currently do. Of all the products I'm carrying, none make me prouder to show off than the Dayens stuff. Its not the solution for every situation, but when it is, they really freaking shine like nothing else I've experienced in the 'under 4 figures' market. These are the first cheap SS amps I'd actually take over a tube amp and be happy about it.

Are the ampino power amps price points close to the integrated?
