After 2.3tl purchase I started sorting the sound at my shop were I have a B2101 amp. Went thru SDA handbook and completed initial steps with all the individual speakers and SDA left/right sounding present. Moved on to powering with music and met with.....actual unbelievably great sound. Never gave any thought to the common neg. ground issue. Have logged a few hours on them with this balanced non-common ground amp with good results. I then started thinking more about the Sansui and quickly determined it was sadly not compatible with SDA. Glad I didn't blow the speakers or the amp for that matter! I did notice the positives of the amp were hooked? Don't know if that saved the components or what.

What do you mean by this? Two positives should never be hooked together as you'll blow your amp.

I'll check later today but I swear when I tested the positives there was zero resistance.

More likely zero continuity, infinite resistance. On my meter, that's indicated by "OL" on the digital readout. Other meters may be different.

Don't know what I was thinking late last night when I figured out the AMP was a balanced design that has no common ground but the positives absolutely have no continuity between them. Cant believe I didn't put 2&2 together as I set DC offset bias on this AMP two years ago which was not fun with this model as it basically is 2 AMPS providing left/right power separately.
