I saw the thread on replacing the fabric on a set of 1.2 TL's. Is it safe to assume it's the same for 1.2's?

It is, This is the closest thing I've found to the original cloth http://www.parts-express.com/mellotone-premium-black-speaker-grill-cloth-yard-64-wide--260-332 Others like a thinner, more transparent material http://www.speakerworks.com/speaker_grill_cloth_fabric_s/25.htm which is o.k. also. -
I might have misunderstood your question, if you were referring to the removal of the side panels to recover, I would think the procedure would be the same. The side panels on some of the big SDA's were attached with a "snap on" type connector, some were glued on the cabinet (which is not too tough to remove).

Yes, I was talking about removal procedure. Thanks for your reply.

The Parts Express cloth is inferior to some of the alternative out there. I have found the cloth used by Magnepan to work much better than the original in all respects. The Gear... Great to know. I have never replaced it entirely, just done restretch and repaire with spray adhesive or hot glue. How do you recommend attaching? I've seen staples but it doesn't look factory.
