Thanks brianle. You got some nice stuff, nice room. My friend Norm (RIP) had a MC225 at one time in his audio journey. Fond memories….
A poor video but as she sits today. Speakers are InnerSound Eros MK III electrostatics. Horizontal bi amp’d ESL’s, with active crossover bass amp. An 8 foot long folded transmission line with 10" SEAS high excursion woofers are in the speaker base for great bass. Another several hundred LP's are in another room.

Steve, are you using the insert video button in the header? It's in the second row of header, fifth button from the right side in the advanced reply mode or third from right in the quick reply mode.

Rich,
Looking and sounding good! I hope to get back there soon, it's been almost 2 years!!!Carl -
Sounding nice Rich (thru my computer speakers anyway) Can you post something playing through your DAC? I'd be interested in hearing it.
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Thanks Greg! I’ve been on a vinyl kick of late since I reorganized it all while on vaca. This short clip of digital through the DAC is all I have for now. Mostly vocal but a great cover!

It's not loud enough unless you can feel your internal organs moving from the bass!
agreed but I don't spend as much time there as I used to.... -

When you have a chance, please post another with music/vocals Rich. It's kinda hard to get a full idea of the sound. The vocals sounded good though. Can you post something commonly played (a lot of us have heard on CD)? Something like a Beatles track? Thanks Rich!

I don't get it... None of your systems sound very good to me... Maybe they'd sound better over the phone?

I had to slap the active back together. Mods on the way...lol Hope your OK with Rubber Soul.

SCompRacer sounds great. What improvements did you find by adding GIK Acoustic treatments? I'm looking into these myself.
Thanks -

Thanks for the kind words Jason. It does sound much better in person.
First big improvement with acoustic treatments I noticed was the bass; I heard lower frequencies, and increased bass from low to mid. It was sharper, articulate. Resolution, imaging improved to make for a better defined soundstage. I can’t say enough good things about acoustic treatments or GIK. Great to work with, they provide solid input, and so many fabric color choices. It made me regret not treating my listening rooms sooner in my audio journey.
I have four Tri-Traps. Two stacked in one corner and two singles in opposite corners. Room has 14 foot ceilings, open to rest of main level. I use three thick 244 panels to quash some of the dipole back wave and absorb bass.
Here is an older thread by a friend that listened to the changes as I took them down. A few members here have treated their room after hearing the difference they make.

Hey Rich! Thanks for taking the time to post that. I should have clarified that please post something by The Beatles that was NOT remixed by Martin. The tone of Rubber Soul is totally screwed up (IMO). You need the original master to have the right tones. When Martin remixed the album using a current day mixing board (opposed to the tube mixing board from say 1964-ish?) the tone of all the insturments and vocals was totally thrown off. Do yo uhave a copy of the original vinyl (not the current remasters of the vinyl)? Do a comparison between what you just played and the original vinyl and let me know the differences. They are stark!
How about something from Revolver!! Something like Taxman, or Love You Too for example! Thanks again Rich.

Hehehe... glad I intro'd you to them Rich! Gotta get you some more stuff when I get time... can you say "Daft Punk" (though not their new CD, I think it sucks from what I have heard off it), and some Massive Attack, Prodigy and Crystal Method... some of which I am betting you have already...
