Stopping by half price books on my way home to see if they have em some vinyl and if so is it good and how expensive is it.... this could be the start of a potentially horrible relationship between my wallet my wife and vinyl lol...

P.S. I still need to get a TT and then figure out how to use it lol

Yup, plan on doing that. I noticed as well you can buy their stuff online, but not sure I like that as it means all the good stuff get gobbled up quick....

Our Goodwills do the same thing here in Indy, it goes to a Goodwill site you can bid on it, so finding good stuff at really low prices just cant happen.

Hate this online thing sometimes

LOL, honestly not sure, never looked. We have a store called Karma Records I went into years ago, but they only sold new stuff at that point which is counter productive.

For me I dont want to spend much on vinyl because unlike digital that I can play on multiple systems, rip once and never have to do a thing to it, ect, vinyl can only be played on one system at a time, requires constant upkeep before and after playing, ect, so I am not looking to have to buy a copy on vinly for 30 bucks and then a CD for my other system for 15.

So we will see how this goes. I am just testing the waters with a toe right now and we will see what happens.

    **Edit** This place looks promising.......http://www.indycdandvinyl.com/about

If you find music you like on vinyl, why not rip it then?
You'll probably end up with a digital copy at least as good as what you would have gotten with buying the CD too.

Most of the vinyl rips are inundated with crackles, that's what I don't like about them.

    Agreed....

So my journey started and ended pretty quick lol. Do they have Vinyl, yes. It is decent quality, No idea. Are they priced right, no idea they ranged from 29 cents to 40 bucks and the new in plastic it made sense, but the others no idea why the costs were so high...

Why do I have no idea on quality........ Because I dont know what constitutes a playable LP and a non playable LP. I dont know what condition factors I should be looking for lol.... is dusty bad, or can it be cleaned away, should I stay away from thinner recordings, ect

    So help me out here.

I also figured I would take my wife with me to go hunting so its a "us" thing and hopefully we can enjoy it together. I think I will enjoy it more than CD's because there is no display or remote to get in the way of playback. Maybe we start listening to more music together.

TOO FUNNY!!!! I was just looking at TT's on the net and my wife came home and said "What ya doing"
I said I was looking at buying a turntable.
She Laughed and said A TURNTABLE!!! I haven't heard that word in years, what you going through a mid life
    crisis or somthing?

My brother in Law has 100's of vinyl records and well as my brother so I thaught I'd buy a TT and borrow their
    vinyl.
