Will without warning I recieved my sub today. The delivery guy told my wife that he was not allowed to be on the driveway and that he couldn't put it on the portch either because he didn't have a dolly only had a pallet jack so the only place was the garage. When I got home I drug the crate myself up the portch and into place next to the TV. that is one big ****, SVS should add the note object bigger then it appears on there sight (LOL).

Dave - Glad you are happy, its a great piece of equipment.
How about an old school Grandma knitted, multicolor, "Cozy" to enclose the subwoofer? That would be vintage AND new age, in one shot.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Impressions on BOTH music and HT please.
And Sean - yes, it IS a large subwoofer, but the design cues are modern and after a while (like anything) you get used to it.
You could also look at a PB1-Plus in wood finish but it won't quite compete with a PB2-ISD in terms of output."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

I cant have a big beast like that in my room. Even if the bass blends, the sub wont. That alone will drive me nuts. [/B][/QUOTE]
As soon as you see it you will change your mind. While it is big it really isn't that bad at least for me, maybe the pb4 but not the pb2. It really fits in with my setup without being overwelming next to the big screen.
We watched the (new) Lion King and the charging of the elephants were very powerfull and sounded as though they were in my house. The kicks from the boar (can't remember his name) had hit with athority there was nothing in the bass that could not be felt and with absolutely no distortion or stress it just walks through even the most demanding sounds without even breaking a sweat. When you get one and hook it up you fell as though this was made just for you and you alone. The wait may long for some(6 weeks for me) you will not regreat it (I sure don't). I look at it this way if I'm in the market for a new Ferrari you wont see it for at least 6mo-1yr but you do get what you pay for and sometimes you will just have to wait for it quality can not be rushed without making a few mistakes along the way that is why some go a little slower as to not overlook things in order to sell product. That is how I fell SVS does it. They are the Ferrari of subs they look, run and sound like nothing you ever heard.
Just a few thoughts and impressions
I can't thank you enough DOC for all your time and effert into subs and this forum as a whole THANK YOU.
The same THANK YOU goes out to all who post and help every and anyone on this forum.

Ferrari's are over-priced and are easily out-performed by other cars costing much less.
SVS seems to make a great product at a great price. Comparing SVS to Ferrari is kind of a put down.
I would say SVS is more like a Subaru WRX STI or a Mit Lancer Evo, great cars for around 30k that easily compete with cars costing at least twice as much.

It's kinda like Wilson Audio. Grealt over-prised. But it says Wilson Audio on the front.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

But you would have a better chance at getting laid with a enzo before the subaru;)
-
Thanks for the impressions and the props. GLAD you feel it was worth the $$ and the wait.
Next, calibrate it FLAT for music and listen to how nicely it blends with the mains and how accurate it is."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Think SVS would ever post this quote on their website as a promo for the PB2+?Mains: polkaudio RTi70's (bi-wired)

Glad to see your enjoying your PB2+ Dave. I'm with you, took exactly four weeks to the day when I received mine but was well worth its weight in gold. Never been happier. Every time someone comes to the house to watch a movie this is the look on my face the whole time. This is the look on everyone elses face. :eek:Money Talks, Mine says Goodbye Rob!!!!
