Is the VA rating for a transformer the same thing as power consumption?

never mind....found it. FYI, VA rating always being equal to or larger than the Watt rating. So an amp with an 850VA rating will consume no more than 850W for power consumption. Yes, I am talking to myself :)

Yes VA =volts x amps=watts. So an 850VA transformer is capable of providing the following circuitry up to 850 watts worth of AC should it be required.
