Question on bridging a Adcom GFA-7000. Current set up is HK AVR 354 as pre. 7000 as amp. RTi A9's front. Cs20 as center (upgrading here very shortly to Csi A6) Powered sub. and some old Infinity Primus as rear for a 5.1 system.

Now the question. I want to give the 9's some more umph. can i bridge my Adcom 7000 and turn it into a 3 channel amp? Bridge 4 of the channels to two to feed the 9's and leave the one remaining channel for the center. I would let the HK feed the rear.

Question is, is it do able? I don't want to fry speakers or system.
Does it make sense to set up this way?
The system is set up for 85 % of time HT and 15 % as stereo Music.
Thinking is it would really make the 9's sing with that extra power making the music nice and pure and consice with little effort.

Any insight, thought or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
