Long LONG ago I was gifted this Toshiba SB-M56 Integrated amp and a pair of Bose 201's. This must have been 12 years ago. As time went on and I acquired more things. I stopped using this unit and gave it to my uncle for free. He used it for a year and stored it in his shed as he downgraded his system. Well low and behold, It's back in my hands. I asked if he would pass it back to me and it's back in my possession.
The history of this piece is unique as I'm the 2nd owner. I was gifted this from the original owner who bought it new to power his Bose 901's. It's taken some nicks and dings since I've had it unfortunately but I would like to have it serviced locally and clean/tune it up. It was a great unit and I realized that I've never had an integrated quite like this one. I will be using this unit for my 2 channel PC desktop setup. Snagging a pair of Monitor 40 bookies to be powered by my little Toshiba.
These appear to be quite rare but I've never read anything bad about them. Solid power and is built very well. Christ the transformer weighs a ton.
Pictures for reference. Anyone else ever own one of these? I also have the tuner that pairs with it. Now I need to source out a good set of cable jumpers as the original ones went missing when I got this thing back.
