Any ideas on how to get a new speaker terminal for this amp? What if I soldered my speaker cable to what's left of the terminal?

Thanks in advance guys!

Contact Polkforumboy. I know he will have some great advice. He is our resident authority on all things having to do with binding posts.

I would contact B&K to see if they can offer some advice. Baring that, I would take it to a qualified repair shop and have it fixed properly.

Just pick up some binders from www.vampirewire.com. You'll have to pop the top on the amplifier and see what kind of chassis mount they use. Depending on that issue, you may or may not be able to DIY. B&K does sell the parts....well, used to before they went under then resurfaced.

I wouldn't suggest soldering the wire directly to the broken terminal, ever. There's no need to hardwire an amplifier in that way.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Thanks guys, vampirewire has similar looking posts, but not sure which one exactly. I'll get ahold of B&K and see what they say. It does seem to be a generic binding post.

Lucky it is a diy project. Pulled out the broken terminal tonight, and found one at Antique Electronic Supply that looks identical. Here are a couple of pictures of what I found under the hood of the B&K AV5000. Thanks again for the suggestions and help!
