I had a channel fail on a Parasound amp once, took the tweeter out with it. Nothing to photograph though, there was no visible damage to the amp, or the tweeter.

I lost one of my SL2000's before I upgraded to RDO's. I think it was more age than anything... No picture because it just looks like an SL2000

When I bought my 5jr's, both tweeters were blown. When I bought my SDA's, the two outside SDA drivers were locked up - magnet shift.
    Ludicrous gibs!

I have placed a 9v battery to my speakers to test the midranges were wired properly (don't do that). I have accidentally introduced rumble into my speakers from my turntable that slapped the cones in my mids (don't do that either). I have run one speaker at high volumes with the large inductor not connected (mistake).

Still all the components are functioning wonderfully and I have gotten past my amateur stage by the grace of God not blowing anything.

Haven't blown anything yet. But I suspect, with all the "used" equipment I run, something will go belly-up eventually and fry something! Fingers crossed, because I'm not on top of all the "maintenance" I should be doing and don't own all the necessary "meters" to constantly check what my amps are doing!

But, then again, I rarely "push" my speakers if at all. Worried about my ears!

I scattered a 430hp 383 Chevy that was in a 72 Vega Wagon but that wasn't all that fun so I won't mention it.

If you want to talk car parts, 1 C5 Vette trans, torque converter, and 6 rear ends. A couple Regal GS transmissions and a L67(3800) meltdown.

As a teenager, I remeber smoking all four speakers in my car. Sanyo I think? They simply couln't handle the Jimmy Hendrix experience! No pictures, but I remember the smell of toasted voice coils as tendrils of gray smoke filtered up between the glass and the door panel!

sl2000 tweeter on my crs+, due to roomates and a new Tupac cd in 1995.

I think the tweeter had already been blown too many times to the polyswitch was shot. I think the tweeter itself was fine though.
