No way man!!!! Cerwins wont touch these baby's! But I did find out that my center only handles about 250 lol. I have had this brain storm about fitting my cs350 with a rdo. It is sort of a pass/fail project with only one chance though.

Fail! I don't know what you're doing to melt tweeters but I've had LS50's and a CS350LS in my rig since '96 (purchased new) and have never had a problem. Stll look and sound as good as new...

No, what you need is to learn what clipping is.

wow...mine went through a house fire and didn't melt!!!! WTF were you doing to melt it? Like F1 said, you need to learn what clipping is, or you need to check and see what the D.C. offset is on the center channel is on your amp.

UBER FAIL! It didn't fry anything else...You know how people talk about MOST speakers being destroyed due to lack of power and distortion. This is one of those times where it was too much power lol. No no clipping. Unless you think it was clipping at -25 db??? Doubtful. It was a cool light show though.

Last time a speaker fell this hard we were trying out a new isobaric sub box with some 10" drivers and caught the bow on fire. PB600 Gold series If I remember right. Now that was interesting trying to get the flaming box out of the trunk LOL.

It was loud that's for sure. I am trying to get help from a local builder for a low watt tube amp so I could put these in the studio and have them for ambient sound. Until I figure out the tube thing they are stuck with rock out duty.

I've never even heard of a tweeter that died from anything other than being over driven.

5/425 Sunfire. I accidentally experienced a user interface learning curve on the remote lol. I hit the wrong button and went from 2 channel to pro logic. I actually got lucky cause I was setting some things and had the surrounds down/off. If they weren't I bet I could have added to the list a complete driver compliment of the 11t.

I know what clipping is Jesse. This was instantaneous so it wouldn't matter anyway. I saw the light show while I was RUNNING across the room.

Makes me think of the time I was trying to blow a pair of Sherwood 12's. They sounded like they were going to go, bridged on the HiFonics Zeus, but just kept going. Tried them on a Pyramid PB amp like the one you mention, to get plenty of distortion (probably a good 30 watts before clipping, and tons of distortion no matter the level). Again they sounded like they were going to give up but after 45 min. at full volume, they were still going. I finally plugged them into the wall. Now we had a fire works! Toughest driver I have ever seen, and we went through many original CV Stroker 18 and 15 inchers.
