2.3tl's or SDA-SDR's?

Which one would be the better offering and why? I am on the fence as those are within driving distance. Price aside(about $400 difference), which would you choose?

2.3tl's depending on what amp I plan on driving them with. Could use the A1 and use mono blocks. Only reason why I would choose them over the SRS's. If you ment SDR's I have no clue what those are.

    2.3TL or SDA SRS?

If the SRS is the first generation, I'd take the 2.3TL in a heartbeat.

SDA SRS 1.2 or 1.2TL vs. 2.3TL, and the room you put 'em in will be the deciding factor.

I would have to go with the 2.3TL's. The SRS are nice but unless they are 1.2tl I would pass.

In either case 400 is a good price.

I am assuming you are saying that the 2.3TL's are $400.00 cheaper than the SDA-SRS's? If that's the case(and not just because of the price), I would absolutely get the 2.3TL's. I own a pair and they are a great speaker. Running the 2.3TL's will allow you to use the AI-1 interconnect (which won't be an option with the SDA-SRS's). Also, you can use the RD0-198-1 tweeters which are not a night and day difference between the RD0-194's ,but IMO sound better than the RD0-194's. Good luck I hope you get them.

Go with the 2.3tl. You can thank me later. Everything one would need in SDA unless you just want to have the biggest.

In my opinion, the 2.3TL's give up nothing to even 1.2TL's in all but the most cavernous rooms. Plus they are easier to drive and less costly to upgrade. 2.3's all the way.

Yup, 2.3tls. It would be very cool to disclose the source of the one (or both) set/s that you do not buy, so that someone else can have a shot at them. :)

Will do. The original SDA's are listed here in the classifieds. I am waiting on a call on the TL's. Also, I thought you could run a non-common ground amp with the TL's?

Looks like the overwhelming vote is for the 2.3tl's. Now to find a set from a reliable source!

I thought you already had a lead on a set? Did they sell to someone else and/or were unreliable?

I told the guy I would buy them for what he is asking, but he sounds like he is playing the offers/waiting game. We'll see what happens. In the mean time, I am still looking.

He was asking $650 for the TL's and only 1 pic, but I was ready to buy if they were decent. Here is another ad for regular 2.3's, but they are fairly rough around the edges, literally.

Think I will hold out for the TL's.

If it was me I'd hold out for the 2.3TL's too. Man those 2.3's look rough. I'd question the shape of the drivers and internal components if the exteriors are so bad.

$699 Buy it Now = absurd  - IMO.

It seems like 2.3TL's were for sale pretty reasonable, all the time............when I wasn't looking for them. Now I can't find any!

I found several for sale when I was looking...but none of the owners would show 'em. One wouldn't even reply to e-mails. I had money, I had transportation, I was in the area, and I couldn't buy a pair.

    Go figure.
