What is everyone using to manage the power to their gear? I am looking for something to manage the power up and down of my gear. Nothing fancy needed just reliable.

APC H15 is what I am using. I like that its got voltage regulation as well as a 12v trigger for 2 outlets.

I have the Belkin PureAV Home Theater Power Console PF60. Not a 100% sure, but I think it has a 12v trigger. I only bought it because amazon had a really big sale on these, for like $130 or so, and I was running out of oulets on my surge protector. I was very surprised at how it cleaned up the sound of the system. I guess they named it "PURE" for a reason.

I think APC H10's or H15's are the no-brainer sweet spot for most. They are basically properly engineered and perhaps a bit underpriced. You can spend up to 10X what you will spend for an APC to get to the next rung.

Just as an aside the main difference between the Belkin P60 (which I also considered) and the H15 is voltage regulation. If voltage regulation doesnt matter to you the P60 is cheaper and has all other functions the H15 has I believe.

I am not sure if the H10 has voltage regulation or not.

When looking for power conditioners/regenerators, I have learned the hard way to stay away from the mov based units. Once they take a direct hit, or even a few hundred feet away lightning strike, they are toast. Spent 500 clams on Monster's top conditioner to find this out the hard way. I know we have a few threads around here talking about mov based units. Something to consider anyway.

I have two APC H15's. One in my HT and one in my 2Ch rig and I'm very happy with them.

Voltage regualtion was important to me and the H15 was a "no brainer" for me and my budget.

MOV-based (metal oxide varistor) protecters remind me of the hated poly-switches we remove from our crossovers. They quickly degrade with use and don't always protect you properly. Most simple surge protection powers strips are MOV's.
