These Allisons are a part of last weekends grab, I've got them in my office powered by a Dynaco Mk-3. Now that I've had some time to play these, I think mhardy was on the money with his statement "If you like the Polk sound, you'll like these". The Allisons have a very nice warm sound and the Dynaco seems to be a nice fit for them. I took my AR 3A's out of play at the office and they may stay out of play with these Allisons.

Sweet! I remember Allisons from back in the 70's. Those look to be in great shape.

They're in very nice shape, it's hard to find these with grills.

Extremely forgiving is a word I would use to describe Allison's.

    Those look great. Enjoy them.

The original Allison series is indeed pretty forgiving, now that you mention it. Well put.

Is forgiving a good thing? I know it's good in golf clubs.

Sometimes better than "brutally honest" when it comes to loudspeakers. I don't have a big problem with polite-sounding loudspeakers; some of them I like a whole bunch, in fact.
