I just scored a used 5 channel and found the first channel wasn't making sound, the other 4 channels work correctly. I noticed that if I put the volume up to -10 or so on my Onkyo 705 that the speaker on that channel will try to make sound, a crackling distorted sound, so when I rotate the level control knob on the back it fades this noise in and out. I was wondering if any of you guys have had this issue and found a fix. I was thinking some Caig deoxit, but read you can't use it on a potentiometer. Any thoughts?
Thanx

just did a search on this and looks like deoxit might have something for the level control, correct?
