I just ordered some more D4 Fluid for my Disc washer kit on Amazon, and noticed the Spin Clean Lp Cleaning Machine and was wondering if anyone has one of these, if so does it work, and if so is it worth the $79 they our asking for it?

I purchased one not so long ago and from my experience it does clean the records and takes a lot of dirt, i emptied the residue water in a glass vass just to check the dirt. Water came out scary ll
Ooking all the times. I did 20 records at a time.

Having said that i have not heard a lot of sonic difference after cleaning them, i mean a scratched record is a scratched record etc. So no miracle worker but a good basic system to clean records of at least the basic kind of dust and grime.

Quality build could be better, mine ccracked in a corner but this have not affected its performance or function

    Regards,

    Eduardo

It cleans records very well. Well worth the money IMHO. BTW DUBAI, no cleaning machine will fix scratches!!!

Well ED, seeing that I don't partake in alcohol your reasoning is flawed !!!! The damn auto spell on my phone misspelled your name so, wrong again !!! It's all good though. BTW, you should really quit playing those damaged records on your system.

Now that is classic good natured ribbing at it's best!

I might try the machine but is there a better way to clean records without buying a machine? Also what is the best cleaning solution that doesn't leave a residue?

Ha ha I know, but that's the cost of one inductor and I need two. Just got the green budget light on that. I was kind in a home remedy mood today as it is perfect record cleaning weather and my teams are all on bye weeks. And those dancing SDA bears are looking at me with those kaleidoscope eyes.

I wonder if me clean wipes would work or hurt the vinyl. Good tips onthe suction cups. I dohave autoparts store. But the point is well taken about being cheap. I think I can somehow work that in. By the time I get mismatched parts I might as well have a record cleaning machine. What a perfect for-no-other-reason-than-I-love-you gift for the wife! She won't clean the house but she would clean vinyl for sure!

Nice tip about the vacuum record cleaning machine. I'm looking over those now. How far does your rabbit hole go? I don't know I just go.

Thanks for the input Keiko, as crazy as this sounds I just might try this method, I have read that a washing similiar to that of your method is recomended by some, as when you use a disc waher on some dirty albums you are actually pushing dust, dirt, and mold further into the grooves, I have a few garage sale finds that I just might try this method on.

I've got the spin clean and I am amazed by how much dirt and grime it gets off of used albums. I don't think that it is the best product in the world, but I do think that it has improved the SQ of many of my records.
