I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here it goes:

Which one would you prefer with the LSI9's. I know the emo is a three channel but wattage is similar.

Parasound HCA1500 or Emotiva XPA3

I haven't heard Emotiva amps, but I've had great experiences with Parasound amps - warm, great midrange, great bass. And you can't really go wrong w/ the John Curl designed amps.

I actually use a NAD 375 integrated (NAD 272/275 would be the amps) with my LSi9s (which is a great combo as well), but I did have the A21 hooked up to them briefly and they of course rocked. They sounded like tower speakers w/ the bass coming out of them.

The only time i've got to hear Lsi9's they were running off dual Emotiva monoblock UPA-1's, 350wpc. They sounded really nice, but I have nothing else to compare them to. I know Parasound are typically favored on this forum and they make very nice gear, if I was going to buy another amp i'd go used Parasound vs new Emo personally.

    Parasound.

You don't list any other criteria about your room, listening habits, type of music, 2ch, HT, associated gear, etc., etc., so I even hesitate to comment.

That said, Emo is a good bargain for an HT based system. Parasound is good for HT and 2ch music. Overall I'd pick the Parasound everytime.

I've never heard the Emo's, but I'm pretty familiar with Parasound, and that HCA-1500 is a particularly special piece.
