Have a Polk passive sub, part of the RM3000 kit, that I want to use with a set of Tannoy I5's. The Polk of course is 8ohm and the Tannoy's are 6ohm. Anyone know if this is or not an ok idea? The Tannoy's sound alot better then the Polk sats do.

It depends on what you are running it off of. If it is the Odyssey Stratos I thought that was a dual monoblock design? And may not be cool with the idea.

Besides you will be pushing over 300+ watts probably in the neighborhood of 450 watts at the least at the RM sub. I doubt it will like that very much.
