Odd occurence with my LSi15's
Last week I moved my LSi15's to my HT.
I've watched a movie and a couple of baseball games there, most recently last night.
My wife was going to watch a movie tonight and I turn on system and it sounds really bad. TV was on a local channel so I hoped that changing channels would solve the problem...no such luck. Now hoping the problem is with the cable (Verizon Fios), I put in a CD...still sounds terrible.
So it has to be the speaker I assume. The left front sounds pretty bad, so I turn everything off and disconnect the tweeter. There's the issue. My 15's are modded, so I start to take out the XO's (not sure why because I probably couldn't notice a problem anyway). Change my mind and decide to switch out the tweeter from the other speaker. It works fine. For whatever reason, I decide to put the "bad" tweeter in the other speaker and it works perfectly. So very odd, but everything is working fine...for now.

Maybe just a loose connection and you fixed it when you put the tweets back in? That would be a good scenario, anyway... good luck!2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's
Living Room: PC > Marantz AV-7703 > Emotiva XPA-5 > Sonus Faber Liuto Towers, Sonus Faber Liuto Center, Sonus Faber Liuto Bookshelves > Dual SVS PC12-Pluses
Office: Phone/Tablet > AudioEngine B1 > McIntosh D100 > Bryston 4B-ST > Polk Audio LSiM-703's -

I should have mentioned when I took the tweeter out, it disconnected. I thought the same as you, whew, just a bad connection. So I hooked it back up and it still sounded bad. But I'm happy with the end result, just don't understand what happened. It's kind of been one thing after another with the HT in my new house. Almost like I'm not supposed to have an HT here:eek:Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -

Sounds like you just had a loose wire for sure. Glad it was an easy unexpected curious fix!
Bugs in systems happen. The more stuff, the more odds of it happening. Just keep the chin up, look into them like you did, and enjoy this hobby when all things run smooth again. If only all system problems were easy and cheap and quick fixes....Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
