Magazine won't eject from Sony player

Need some help here. Bought a Sony cd magazine player for the garage system. Came with 3 magazines, 1 that has the Sony logo and writing on the front, the other two are blank on the front but have the same sony model number on the bottom. The one that does have the logo ejects fine, the other two don't. AFter I took off the top of the unit I was able to push out the magazine manually. All 3 mags work fine until it comes to ejecting it. Any thoughts?

Quit using the other 2? lol
When you remove the lid, do you see the mechanism binding or anything? Visually inspecting, can you see ANYTHING that could be different between the two? That's where I'd start I guess. Maybe do some research online an cross-reference the part number from the cassettes and see if you can directly verify them to your player.65" Sony X900 (XBR-65X900E)

Well, i won't be using those two believe me. The one that works and the two that don't have indentical model numbers. Everything is identical except for the writing on the front and on the mag that works it has silver screws and not brass ones like the other two...Computer room Hegeman 1 SpeakersM&K VX-80 subKenwood DP-7010Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Rega DACPrimaLuna Prologue Four AmpAric Audio Tube PreampGarage Jennings Research SquareCustom tube preampCrown XLS-1000Denon DCD-1500II Modded MSB Link DAC

That is odd. Without sounding redundant I guess, I'd visually inspect all of the cassettes just to eliminate any difference.
The reason that I keep going back to that is I built a PC years ago. Bought 2 gig RAM, and 6 months later decided I wanted another 2. Bought the same RAM - even went to my order history and purchased via the same NE link. Found out the manufacturer had changed their chip supplier and the chips were incompatible (even though the same)
I'm sure you've checked them over, but I almost wonder if the 2 are a sliver taller or wider? Are the screws well inset, or could the difference in screws be the killer? You've got a real stumper there. Since 1 works consitantly - there's gotta be something there.65" Sony X900 (XBR-65X900E)

that's why CD players no longer use the magazine system anymore.. to many problem-os
the two I used both had sticking mag problems.. the system is flawed when ejecting mags. dump it.. and get a real CDP.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Almost every multi-cd fed 12v system uses a reverse feed mechanism along the lines of this same idea sans an actual magazine. The idea died because of a number of issues to include the advent of DVD, CD-R and capacity un-challenged units like 3-400 cd changers, etc etc. The consumer wanted more and the industry followed suit.
To attribute it to the fact that the magazines got stuck now and then is silly DB.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
not silly when you think about it.. some mags held 5 or 7 CD"s.. the same as any carousel type player.. sure the mags getting stuck wasn't the ONLY thing that killed that type of system.. but it surely didn't help it any. hence that mag type system isn't used anymore..
the mags worked fine till they got worn out.. usually several years down the road the opening and closing of the mag slots became loose, and that was the problem with them not ejecting. the players themselves held up well over time. the mags did not.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I think pioneer even had a player that had a 10 disc magazine. Problem i seen was that little ball bearing that allowed the plate to come out would sometimes drop out into the player itself. Then all sorts of bad mojo would happen.
use the good one forget the rest.
