Finally got a cable I've been needing....

So I got a Monster Cable that I was waiting on so that I could FINALLY blast all my mp3's through my system. With the virtually unlimited tweeking that the B&K is capable of, I'm LOVIN this......

In the cable war......Monster is king......(how can I resist putting that out there with all the fun that can cause)

EDIT: The only thing that I don't like is that when I'm going from computer to stereo system, I have to have the volume turned to a flat 0 to get it loud enough to drown out those pesky neighbors.......why is that?(that you have to turn it up so much....not why are there pesky neighbors)

    HD/Lampcord/Monster have been known to show no difference.

    The truth will tell next weekend!

    Max........Don't like your attitude. I could post more if you'd like......

    Frank......The comment was totally a joke. I really couldn't care less if the cable was a HD cable or not. I just happened to find the Monster cable so I got it and am happy with it.

    Sid........You can't make a blanket statement like that because YOU may or may not have noticed a difference. The reality is that there IS a difference, depending on what amp, speakers, dvd player, cd player, etc you're using. Because YOU didn't see a difference with your set-up, doesn't make it true for everyone else........nerd.

    Sid,

    i doubt you'll hear a difference between IXOS and Monster. now is this for speaker wire. or interconnects? both are good wires.. but where IXOS beats Monster is in price. Monster is overpriced.. yes it's good stuff.. the upper end is anyway. I find the savings on IXOS more appealing to me. But it's tough to find... they don't have the corner of the market share like Monster does. I wish more guys in here would give IXOS a try. it's good stuff. as you already know. ;)

    beyond that.. are you using Monster because you can get a good deal on it.. or because everyone else uses it? I don't hear you saying anything about how it sounds in your system. To me that's more important than the brand name. ? for ya. if you got a good discount on AR or any other brand.. would you be using that instead?

    sorry to be picking on you. but i'm curious why so many people just use Monster and never try anything else. :) my brother in law is the same way.. he's convinced that Monster is the best.. it's easy to find and it's costly... so it must be good right?

    It's hard for me to say exactly what the wire upgrades have done, simply because i didn't just flip wires. I went from a Pro Logic system, to full digital with a full swap out of every cable I had within a weeks time.

    Do I like the sound? Absolutely!!!! Am I totally convinced that Monster is king? No....but don't really care. The reason that I've had my RT16's for so long is that I'm happy with the way they sound(reason why I now have 3 pair)......no reason for me to go and check out other speakers (which might change circa RTi12's). Same goes for the wires. I like the way they sound, so I'm not letting the bug hit me on that one. The discount has a lot to do with why I'm using them, I mean, I'd have to be an idiot for NOT considering them really......

    For the cable that I listed above, the thing sounds night and day better than when I last tried it with some el cheapo wires a while back, so it accomplishes what I want it to without question.

    I would say that I noticed less of a difference with the speaker bi-wires that I bought out of everything. I kind of did a step up route with that one.....went from basic wire that I'd been using for years wired to the bottm post with the jumper in place. Then fairly recently I removed the plates with a piece or wire and the sound did get better. There was more depth to the music, and it seemed to open up a bit and not be as flat sounding. The upgrade to the fully terminated Z2B's didn't really accomplish a night and day improvement over that little jumper wire, but there is an improvement, albeit slight. While that's a little disappointing, I'm happy with the purchase as I'll be able to use them in the long run for other speakers that probably would show quite a difference between HD wire and this.

    I'm not really one to bash products out there. I know that some don't use Monster, just because it's Monster, and some think that Bose is a bad speaker company because it's Bose (don't wanna hear it MX and RS). Everything being sold is out there because of what each consumer deems important to them......who are we to judge that? (I expect some sort of reaction from bigsexy here.....)
